Family Development Team
The Family Development Team at Cheshire House develops and provides varied support packages to meet the wide-ranging needs of families within the service. The team includes a psychologist, Social Workers, Registered Nurses, NNEBs and NVQ 3 in Childcare, and receives support from consultants and healthcare professionals on an “assessed need” basis. At all times, we carry a high staff ratio ensuring that we can support the very differing needs of our families.
Upon admission to Cheshire House, each family is assigned a Social Worker and Key Worker to support them throughout their stay. Our qualified social workers are registered with the GSCC. Key workers have a variety of professional experience, and all have relevant childcare qualifications including NNEBs and NVQs in childcare to support their practice.
Cheshire House staff are encouraged and supported by our comprehensive training and development policy which ensures that all staff hold relevant qualifications and maintain an active approach towards training in client specific needs.
Our Family Development Team also access community resources and work in partnership with healthcare professionals to meet the wide-ranging needs of families and referring parties.
